Intensive Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced disruption to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were hurt.

The assaults succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting energy systems.

He said utility staff and officials were bracing for further attacks.
